Service Description

At #DoitforDeaks we are trying to find ways to support people when they need it most. On the 1st Monday of each month, Kingsteignton Medical Practice will have listening volunteers available to anyone who would benefit from talking to someone. Talking to someone who will not judge you or tell you what to do can be really helpful. Many people report feeling much better just by sharing their thoughts and feelings. All volunteers are trained and provided by the Samaritans. This service is entirely confidential. No record of your visit will be made by the surgery, and nothing you talk about will be shared outside the room. You can make an appointment in the usual way or just drop in between 2-5pm. We know it can be hard to ask for this sort of service at reception so just ask for an appointment with 'Sam' and the receptionist will point you in the right direction. If you have any questions please call Briony on 01626 357090. *Please note, this service is currently only available to patients registered at Kingsteignton Medical Practice, but if successful we hope to roll it out to other surgeries in the future*
